Mr. Kamada graduated from Hokkaido University with a degree in economics. Prior to joining GLOBIS in 1999, Mr. Kamada worked at the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (LTCB), where he worked in the management divisions at the head office. There, he handled the planning and implementation of personnel development for the Personnel Division and the design and development of the bank’s business processes for the System Planning Division. He was also involved in marketing, where he provided support from a financial perspective to the planning and finance divisions of corporate customers in such areas as growth strategies and business restructuring. At LTCB Trust Company, he oversaw marketing and management of the securitization business as head of the Marketing Division. After joining GLOBIS, he served as Managing Director of Group Headquarters, overseeing the Group’s personnel management, while also serving as a General Manager of the Nagoya Office. He assumed the post of Company President of Globis Organizational Learning in April 2006. As a lecturer, Mr. Kamada teaches leadership courses at the Graduate School of Management, Globis University, and Globis Management School, as well as in corporate training programs. He has written Leadership through Self-discipline (Diamond Inc.). |

Mr. Soichi Kariyazono has been responsible for investment in the areas of digital media, IT services and software at Globis Capital Partners since 1999 and is a founding member of the venture capital division at GLOBIS Corporation. Prior to joining GLOBIS, he worked as a consultant at the Sanwa Research Institute Corporation. He is a graduate of the Department of Law at Keio University and holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. | After graduating from the University of Tokyo with a Master of Science degree, Mr. Shimada joined a strategic management consulting firm, where he specialized in industry/company analysis and support for the planning and implementation of business strategies. He subsequently worked at a foreign manufacturer of laboratory equipment before joining GLOBIS, where he has been in charge of publishing, content development and licensing. Mr. Tsuyoshi Shimada has written Hypothesis-Based Business Thinking (Diamond Inc.). His co-authored publications include, MBA Management Book (3rd Edition), MBA Accounting (3rd Edition), MBA Business Plan and MBA Quantitative Analysis (all published by Diamond Inc.) and Venture Management Revolution (Nikkei Business Publications). He co-translated Strategic Thinking for the Next Economy (Toyo Keizai Inc.) and Company that Can Foster Good Leaders and Company that Damns Leaders (Eiji Press Inc.). As a lecturer, he teaches courses in management accounting, quantitative analysis, management strategy, marketing and business creation, and serves as facilitator for action learning at the Graduate School of Management, Globis University, and in corporate training programs. | |

Mr. Serizawa graduated from Hitotsubashi University with a degree in Commerce and Management and received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He was then engaged in organizational development at the research institute of Tonen Corporation (currently Tonen General Sekiyu K.K.), participating in such projects as research efficiency enhancement. Mr. Serizawa subsequently worked in the Controller section at Tonen, where he was involved in policymaking for the entire corporate budget, overall assessment of plant and equipment investment, shareholder reports and re-engineering projects. At GLOBIS, he has served as head of the organizational learning business, handling management education for corporate clients. In his current capacity as Managing Director of the Corporate Administration Division for the GLOBIS Group, he is involved in the formulation and implementation of Group strategy from the perspectives of personnel, finance and information systems. He concurrently holds the post of Executive Fellow at the Graduate School of Management, Globis University. His published works include, Individualized Corporation (Diamond Inc.). He also co-translated Theory of MIT Sloan School Strategy (Toyo Keizai Inc.) and co-authored MBA Finance (Diamond Inc.). |

After graduating from the Faculty of Economics at Sophia University, Mr. Takahashi was employed by Marubeni Corporation, where he was primarily involved in developing overseas businesses with machinery makers. During his career at Marubeni, Mr. Takahashi participated in infrastructure development projects in the Middle East and subsequently engaged in a wide range of businesses in Brussels including management support, development of logistics, and financing for invested companies and business partners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As Managing Director of Globis Organizational Learning, he is currently involved in overseeing personnel and organizational development projects for corporate clients mainly in the service, high-tech, electronics, telecommunications and IT-related sectors. He also lectures on leadership, analytical skills and strategy at the Globis Management School and corporate training seminars. |

Mr. Takubo graduated from the Science and Technology Department of Keio University. After earning a graduate degree there, he joined Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc., where he had been engaged in investigation, research, and consulting services mainly for the energy industry, main government ministries (Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology, and others). As Vice Director of Postgraduate Studies at the Graduate School of Management, Globis University and as a Managing Director at the Globis Management School, he is currently involved in planning and managing operations. He also serves as a lecturer for the Analytical Skill Courses and the Leadership Development Courses (Critical Thinking 1 and 2, Quantitative Analysis for Business, Business Presentation, Keieidojo, Designing Leadership Development, Middle Management Program and Executive Management Program) at the Graduate School of Management, Globis University, the Globis Management School and corporate training seminars. Mr. Takubo has written Bijinesu Suujiryoku o Kitaeru (Communicating Through Numbers), “GLOBIS MBA Experience” Series (Diamond, Inc.). He also co-translated The Grand Design for the New Century (Nihon Keizai Shimbun Inc.) and The Environment and Business: A Complete Forecast (Nihon Keizai Shimbun Inc.) and other publications. |

Mr. Nakamura graduated from Hitotsubashi University with a concentration in Social Studies, and received his MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Nakamura wrote two HBS cases that apply Eastern philosophy to management as a Research Associate of the General Management Unit of Harvard Business School. Mr. Nakamura joined Marubeni Corporation and while seconded to Advantage Partners, worked on the reorganizations of invested companies. As General Manager of Fuji Machinery Mfg. & Electronics Corporation, he contributed in the rapid reorganization of the company. As Senior Managing Director at Sun-Life Corporation, he introduced a progressive ESOP for more than 250 employees, including part-time workers. At GLOBIS, Mr. Nakamura is in charge of the International MBA Program. Mr. Nakamura teaches subjects in the leadership area and has conducted various global training programs to GLOBIS’ corporate clients. Mr. Nakamura writes a column, “Ki and Management” periodically at GLOBIS.JP. |

After graduating from Hitotsubashi University with a degree in Economics, Mr. Minato joined Mitsui & Co., Ltd., where he worked in the Motor Vehicles Business Unit to develop overseas businesses for automobile manufacturers. He was primarily responsible for exports to China, other areas of Asia, and Russia along with production and sales projects in these regions. While stationed in China, he handled turn-around projects involving joint enterprises with local corporations, as well as negotiations with the government, plant construction, logistic systems development, and marketing for a newly established automobile parts manufacturing company. At GLOBIS, Mr. Minato oversees human resources and the organizational development consulting team for the manufacturing industry centered on industrial goods in the corporate education business. As a lecturer at Globis Executive School and corporate education instructor, he also supports about 700 students annually, providing courses in leadership and critical thinking. He co-translated Theory of MIT Sloan School Strategy (Toyo Keizai Inc.). |

Mr. Yamaguchi graduated from the Faculty of Economics Department at the University of Tokyo and the London Business School (MBA, Dean’s List). Following his career at the Bank of Tokyo (currently the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ) and the Boston Consulting Group, Mr. Yamaguchi became independent and was involved in incubating many venture enterprises. As Managing Director at GLOBIS, he currently oversees product development and design as well as research. He also teaches courses such as, Essentials of Marketing and Strategy, Marketing I and III, Business Presentation and Business Planning at the Graduate School of Management, Globis University. Mr. Yamaguchi brings ample experience as a consultant at more than 30 major corporations, and as a lecturer and facilitator, excelling in cross-disciplinary themes such as new business development and sales reinforcement. He co-translated the book, Strategic Thinking for the Next Economy (Toyo Keizai Inc.) and has delivered a number of lectures on cultivating leadership and change-oriented organizational development. |
